How to Get Beyond Drug and Alcohol Problems

Whether you have a problem yourself with drinking, illegal drugs or prescription drugs OR are concerned about a family member, friend or loved one, this is the place to come for support, knowledge, techniques using breathing, yoga and meditation and motivation.

You may not think you have a problem, but others might. OR you may just be taking pain killers at times for a nagging backache but in your heart of hearts know you are sneaky extra when you don’t really need them. Some people have had a very difficult childhood due to parents that themselves were abused or unappreciated and things just needed to be numbed a bit. Maybe it grew into a habit and is the only way to fall asleep.

I’m a licensed social worker, teach yoga and without being “preachy” we’ll look at ways to deal with addiction through self-discovery. I don’t believe there is only one way for people to stop drug addiction. We have to use what resonates for us to heal.

I have a 28 year old son, who has been addicted to Oxycodone for at least the last 7 years. He is on siboxin (spelling?) He appears “stuck”. Can you help?
